H.E.M.E. Pty Ltd was founded in Emerald in 1997 when a need was identified for a quality local machine shop serving the Central Highlands. What started as a single workshop has grown – through consistent reinvestment, a commitment to quality, and the loyalty of long-term clients – into a fully equipped, multi-facility engineering operation employing 29 professionals.
Over nearly three decades, we’ve expanded across four blocks of land, adding CNC equipment, a heavy fabrication shop, and dedicated sandblasting and painting facilities. Each addition has been driven by one goal: to give our clients more capability, better results and fewer reasons to look elsewhere.
Today, H.E.M.E. is recognised as one of Central Queensland’s leading engineering and fabrication businesses – a preferred supplier to major mining companies, a trusted partner to civil and agricultural operations, and a proud member of the Emerald community.
Our team of 29 professionals brings together decades of hands-on experience across machining, fabrication, fitting, welding,
sandblasting and painting. It’s their expertise, attention to detail and pride in the work that makes H.E.M.E. what it is.
In 2013, 2015 and 2017, HE.M.E. was consecutively
awarded both the Ausindustry Manufacturer of the Year and the CHDC Business of the Year – a testament to the team’s commitment to excellence, innovation and continuous improvement. In 2017, the company was also inducted as an inaugural member of the CHDC Hall of Fame, cementing its place among the region’s most respected businesses.
